Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. This role involves providing specialized pediatric respiratory care within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment. The position requires collaboration with clinical teams to deliver high-quality patient care and support the respiratory needs of diverse patient populations.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night shifts, mixture of 12-hour (7 p.m. - 7 a.m.) and 8-hour (11 p.m. - 7 a.m.) shifts. Every other weekend required. Minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Certifications in BLS, NRP, and RRT. No specific experience required; recent graduates with relevant training accepted. Candidate must possess a Pennsylvania license.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with pediatric respiratory care and familiarity with Epic electronic charting system.
- Call Requirements: Not applicable.
- Holidays: as needed.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: The role may involve care for COVID-19 patients. The facility is tobacco and fragrance free; prior notification advised.
- Unit Details: Serving a daily census of approximately 70 patients across various age groups, including neonates, infants, and pediatrics. Skills include aerosol setup, tracheostomy care, ventilator management, and inhaled medication administration.
