Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist (Registered) - PEDS Located in Brick, New Jersey. This role involves providing comprehensive respiratory care, including ventilator management and airway management, for pediatric patients under medical direction. The position focuses on delivering high-quality patient-centered care, fostering collaboration with healthcare professionals, and supporting patients and their families throughout treatment.
Job Details
- Providing respiratory therapy under medical direction, in the education, treatment, management, and diagnostic evaluation of pediatric patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies.
- Assisting with intubation procedures and managing ventilator setup and ongoing care.
- Gathering necessary patient information, including disease education, testing, and consultations with other healthcare team members.
- Developing rapport and mutual respect with patients, caregivers, and team members to optimize patient outcomes.
- Providing and documenting educational support to patients and caregivers based on identified needs in an understandable manner.
- Adhering to the organization's clinical standards and behavioral competencies.
- Lifting a minimum of 5 lbs., pushing and pulling a minimum of 5 lbs., and standing for a minimum of 1 hour daily.
- Engaging in regular contact with medical personnel and visitors.
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, totaling 36 hours per week, starting on 07/27/2026.
- Required Qualifications: graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program, BLS from the American Heart Association, ACLS, PALS, valid New Jersey Respiratory Care license, and NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification.
- Required Soft Skills: strong communication and interpersonal abilities, critical thinking, problem-solving, adaptability, and accountability.
