Job Summary
The Interventional Radiology Clinical (Interventional Radiology CL) specialist position is based in San Francisco, California. This role involves supporting cardiologists, radiologists, and registered nurses in executing a variety of interventional radiology procedures. Candidates will demonstrate technical expertise, patient interaction skills, and adherence to safety protocols to deliver precise and safe treatment under supervision.
Job Details
- Schedule: 4 x 10-hour days, Monday to Friday, start time at 7:00 AM, with a total of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid California radiology technologist license, American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS certification, ARRT Radiology certification, a minimum of 2 years of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technician, no specific location requirement
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with angioplasty, carotid angiography, stent placement, catheter/drain exchange, vascular access/port placement, and interventional radiology equipment setup
- Certifications: ACLS, ARRT R, BLS, Fluoroscopy permit
- Skills: Accurate monitoring, interventional procedures such as embolization, nephrostomy, TIPS, ultrasound-guided interventions, sterile technique, use of Siemens equipment, recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias, and room circulation
- Additional Information: The role entails mentoring and training students, completing required modules during orientation, and ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory standards. Candidates must complete onboarding within 3-5 days of contract signing and provide verification of work history back to 7 years.
