Description
Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) Freeport, Illinois. This position involves coordinating respiratory care to pediatric and adult patients within a designated acute care setting. The role requires utilizing delegation, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills to achieve optimal patient outcomes, with the ability to demonstrate clinical competency across various age groups including neonatal, pediatric, and adult patients.
Job Details
- Schedule: Rotating shift from 4:45 PM to 12:45 AM with an every third weekend rotation.
- Required Qualifications: Associate's Degree in Respiratory Care from an accredited school of Respiratory Care. Active licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist verified via the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS). Minimum of 2 years of experience preferred. Experience with Bronchoscopy, Pulmonary Function Test (PFT) Laboratory, and Therapist Driven Protocols is a plus.
- Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
- Populations Served: Neonate (less than 30 days), Infant (less than 1 year old), Early Childhood (1 to less than 5 years old), Late Childhood (5 to less than 13 years old), Adolescent (13 to less than 17 years old), Young Adult (17 to less than 30 years old), Middle Adult (30 to less than 60 years old), Older Adult (greater than 60 years old).
- Additional Information: Coordinates respiratory care in an acute care setting for diverse patient populations, emphasizing leadership, clinical competency, and adherence to safety standards. The role may include providing age-specific respiratory care and delivering treatment in accordance with established protocols.
