Description
Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) in San Diego, California. This position involves providing specialized respiratory care to pediatric patients within a level III neonatal intensive care unit. The role requires assessment, planning, and implementation of therapeutic interventions, as well as interdisciplinary communication to promote optimal patient outcomes.
Job Details:
- Shift Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Three-year recent acute care experience in respiratory care, Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) minimum 2 years in level III NICU setting, current California Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license, current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications, A.S Degree preferred, Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred
- Skills: Respiratory care, patient assessment, planning and implementation of therapeutic care, evaluation of care outcomes, aseptic technique, patient safety, cultural competency, psychosocial needs assessment, interdisciplinary collaboration, documentation, computer proficiency, data entry, charge/credit entry, resource management, organization, time management, prioritization
- Experience: Three-year recent acute care experience in respiratory therapy, with at least 2 years in a level III NICU setting
- Additional Information: Position requires effective time and resource management, the ability to adapt to changing workloads, and excellent communication skills to collaborate with the healthcare team. The primary focus is on providing high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care to neonatal patients.
