Description
Job Summary:
Radiation Therapist in the San Jose, California area. This role involves delivering safe and precise radiation treatments to patients as prescribed by a radiation oncologist. The position requires a licensed and skilled radiation therapy technologist committed to patient care, safety, and accurate documentation, supporting the treatment team in a fast-paced medical environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ARRT Registration for Radiation Therapy Technologist (ARRT-RTT); Certified in Radiation Therapy (CRT-T); licensure and certification requirements are satisfied by license/certification
- Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of modern radiation therapy equipment, human anatomy, safety principles, and billing procedures; ability to lead and instruct support staff; strong clinical reasoning skills; experience in safety, training, and quality improvement initiatives
- Additional Information: Responsible for delivering treatments, supporting patient education, maintaining treatment records, performing equipment calibration, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. The role also includes reviewing treatment documentation for billing accuracy and reporting equipment issues.
