Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist registered (RT PEDS) position in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The role involves providing quality patient care with a focus on pediatric respiratory therapy. Responsibilities include operating ventilatory equipment, administering treatments, monitoring patients, performing diagnostic assessments, and assisting with procedures related to respiratory care. The shift schedule is during nights, with an emphasis on delivering thorough and safe respiratory support to patients within a hospital setting.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid respiratory therapist registered (RT RRT) certification, appropriate educational background, and a minimum of 0 years of experience. A valid state license in Wisconsin or the ability to obtain one is required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric respiratory care experience is preferred. Knowledge of ventilatory equipment, invasive and non-invasive procedures, and familiarity with pediatric patient care standards is desirable.
• Additional Information: The respiratory therapist will be responsible for evaluating patients, recommending treatment plans, educating patients and families, operating and maintaining respiratory equipment, and documenting all care provided. The candidate must be able to perform procedures such as suctioning, chest physiotherapy, and arterial puncture, and must follow policies and guidelines for laboratory testing, emergency procedures, and equipment maintenance. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams are essential.
