Description
Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist (Registered) position in Farmington, New Mexico. This role is based at a busy critical care unit within a level III trauma center, providing respiratory therapy services across a diverse patient population from newborns to geriatrics. The position involves working night shifts, delivering specialized respiratory care, and supporting various medical teams in a fast-paced environment.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Night Shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: NM state licensure, Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification, BLS, ACLS, minimum of 2 years of critical care or pediatric respiratory experience, two-year Associates degree in Respiratory Therapy
- Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric care experience, critical care or ICU experience, familiarity with respiratory modalities such as Vapotherm, BiPAP, Bubble CPAP, and other advanced respiratory equipment
- Additional Information: Occasional need for general pediatric care. The unit features 194 beds and utilizes Cerner EHR system. Responsibilities include managing varied respiratory conditions, supporting Rapid Response and Stroke Teams, and ensuring patient safety across all age groups.
