Description
Job Summary:
Peoria, Illinois Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist. This position involves providing technical support and monitoring in the cardiac catheterization laboratory within an acute care setting. The role requires collaboration with cardiologists and clinical staff to ensure efficient patient care during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 10-hour shifts with rotating weekends and holidays, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Active Illinois license or confirmation that application has been initiated, ARRT certification, BLS certification, minimum of 2 years of experience in a cardiac cath lab setting, and must submit last four digits of SSN.
- Preferred Qualifications: Ped's experience and McKesson cardiology PACS experience are preferred but not required.
- Department: Cardiac Cath Lab with 6 labs; approximately 10 to 15 cases per day.
- Certifications: ARRT, BLS, IEMA.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of cath lab experience.
- Equipment/EMR: EPIC, PACS, and McKesson systems.
- On-Call Requirements: On-call hours on a rotational basis; response time of 30 minutes from page.
- Shift and Scheduling Notes: Work 4 days of 10 hours each, with rotating weekends and holidays. Patient care involves scrub, monitor hemodynamics, and circulating duties.
- Orientation: Typically 3 to 5 days; orientation includes departmental-specific training.
- Additional Information: There is a mandatory call list utilized when staff cannot fulfill their call shift. Techs are not required to float at this time. Scrubs are provided by the hospital.
