Description
Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) in Columbus, Ohio. This 13-week assignment involves providing comprehensive respiratory care to pediatric patients within the facility. The role requires evaluating patient needs, administering treatments, and collaborating with physicians to ensure optimal respiratory therapy outcomes.
Job Details:
- Shift Schedule: Nights; 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Valid respiratory therapist license, certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (AALS), minimum of 1 year of experience in respiratory care, and the ability to work overnight shifts.
- Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric respiratory care experience, familiarity with pediatric airway management, and certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
- Additional Information: The respiratory therapist will operate various ventilatory equipment, perform chest physiotherapy, suctioning, and monitor patient responses. Responsibilities include assisting with procedures such as bronchoscopy and chest tube placement, as well as conducting pulmonary function studies and arterial punctures. The role also requires accurate documentation of treatments, communication with physicians, and adherence to all clinical policies and procedures.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
