Description

Job Summary:
Orange, California ? The organization is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join its team. The selected candidate will perform PET scans and general nuclear medicine studies in an acute care hospital setting. The role offers an opportunity to train on site, with a focus on cardiac PET procedures, and involves working a Monday through Friday schedule with no weekends or holidays.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Orientation shifts will typically be from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM during the first two weeks.
  • Required Qualifications: 2 years of experience, BLS certification, NMTCB certification, California State license (or ARRT/NMTCB).
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with PET scans, charting system experience with Epic, and community hospital experience.
  • Certifications: BLS, NMTCB, CA State license (or ARRT/NMTCB).
  • Additional Information: The candidate must have a valid California license in hand prior to start. The facility is a Level I Trauma Center with 426 beds and offers free parking. The role involves working with adult and geriatric patient populations, performing up to 15 PET scans daily, and may include some on-call responsibilities that are optional. Travelers are expected to float between facilities within the state, and strict compliance with policies on background checks, licensure, and references is required.
  • Start Date: 07/28/2026
  • Other notes: No first-time travelers; candidates must have at least 2 years of experience. RTO requests must be within 7 days unless otherwise approved. Candidates must have LA fire safety card within the last 30 days, and submit two references covering the past 1 year during the approval process.
