Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in inpatient care for a facility located in Irving, Texas. This role involves providing assessment and treatment services within the Rehabilitation Services unit, supporting adult patients through various speech and swallow evaluations and therapies. The position offers a daytime shift and requires a flexible and organized professional with good communication skills.

Job Details:

• Location: Irving, Texas
• Shift: Days, 8 hours per shift
• Schedule: 40 hours per week
• Start Date: 08/10/2026
• Required Qualifications: Certifications: BLS (AHA or ARC). Education: Degree in Speech Language Pathology or equivalent with appropriate state licensure. Experience: 0+ years.
• Unit Information: Rehabilitation Services unit with 100 beds, staffed by one full-time staff member daily and four PRNs for weekend rotations.
• Patient Population: Adult patients requiring swallow and language assessments, cognitive evaluations, and treatments.
• Procedures Performed: Adult swallow/language assessments and treatments, cognitive evaluations, inpatient/outpatient MBS.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with tracheostomy and positive pressure ventilation (PMV), NICU experience.
• Personality Fit: Flexible, good communicator, organized.
• Certifications: BLS (AHA or ARC).
• Float Area(s): Inpatient: ICU, Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Medical-Surgical Team (MST), MBS. Outpatient (MBS only).
• Dress Code: Scrubs in hunter green.
• Additional Information: Weekend calls approximately once a month, with two holidays per year.
