Description

Job Summary:
Nuclear Medicine Technologist in Carlsbad, New Mexico. This position involves providing diagnostic imaging assistance to physicians through organ or body scans, administering isotope dosages, observing patient activity during procedures, and reporting any abnormal findings. The role requires hands-on expertise and judgment to ensure accurate and safe imaging services within a healthcare facility setting.

Job Details:

  • Location: Carlsbad, NM
  • Shift: Days, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday, no weekends or call required
  • Schedule: 8 hours per day, minimum 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: 2+ years of experience, Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification, ARRT certification, NM state licensure, experience with Philips Brightspeed preferred, fingerprinting clearance for all Nuclear Medicine travel candidates, and NM license
  • Additional Information: Provides diagnostic aid to physicians by conducting organ or body scans on patients. Administers and records isotope dosages in accordance with established departmental protocol. Observes patients during procedures and reports any abnormal activity. Performs a variety of tasks under general supervision with a degree of creativity and latitude. Typically reports to a chief technologist or manager.
