Job Summary
Histologist position available in Santa Rosa, California. The role involves performing histology procedures including grossing, embedding, microtomy, staining, and specialized techniques such as automated immunohistochemistry and manual special stains. The ideal candidate will contribute to routine hospital anatomical pathology services, supporting a team dedicated to high-quality patient care.

Job Details

Schedule: Night shifts, 8 hours each shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
Required Qualifications: Certification in Histotechnology from ASCP-HT, Associate's Degree in Science, California state license (preferred), pending license accepted. Two years of experience required, specifically in hospital histology, with grossing experience being a hard stop.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Epic charting system, hospital or clinical laboratory experience, familiarity with immunohistochemistry, special stains, and manual staining procedures.
Additional Information: Must be willing to work two out of three major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year). Candidates may be required to float within the hospital and to affiliated facilities within proximity. References covering the last 1 year (6 months for CNAs) are required.
Location: 1165 Montgomery Drive, Santa Rosa, California, 95405.
RTO restrictions: No more than 7 days.
Travel Compliance: SSN, date of birth, and RTO must be included at submission.
Module completion: Modules are non-billable, averaging 16 hours, with annual and pre-start completion that is self-reported.
