Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) West Orange, NJ. This position involves providing specialized respiratory care to pediatric patients within a healthcare facility. The role requires evaluating patient needs, administering treatments, and educating patients and their families. The therapist will operate various ventilatory and respiratory equipment, support diagnostic procedures, and ensure the delivery of quality patient care during overnight shifts.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shift, 19:00 to 07:30, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in respiratory therapy, valid professional license, and at least 0 years of experience; located in New Jersey or willing to commute to West Orange, NJ
• Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric specialty experience and familiarity with respiratory equipment and procedures
• Additional Information: The respiratory therapist will perform chest physiotherapy, suctioning, oximetry, capnography, pulmonary function studies, and assist with procedures such as bronchoscopy and chest tube placement. Responsibilities include monitoring and maintaining mechanical ventilation, performing arterial punctures, and following all policies related to laboratory testing and patient safety. The role also involves documenting treatments and communicating effectively with physicians and team members during rounds.
