Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered specializing in Pediatric care is needed for a facility in Chicago, Illinois. This position involves providing comprehensive respiratory care to pediatric patients, including administering treatments, operating ventilatory equipment, and performing diagnostic procedures. The role requires collaboration with physicians to develop and implement treatment plans, as well as patient education and discharge instructions. The position is scheduled for day shifts within a facility that values high-quality patient outcomes.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days; 12-hour shifts; minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid Respiratory Therapist (RT) license; no minimum experience required; must be able to work in Chicago, Illinois
• Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric specialty experience desirable
• Additional Information: Provides intensive respiratory care, conducts evaluations including chest x-rays and pulmonary function studies, manages invasive and non-invasive ventilatory equipment, and performs procedures such as tracheostomy care, arterial puncture, and endotracheal tube management. Ensures equipment functionality and maintains accurate documentation of treatments and patient responses. Communicates effectively with healthcare team members and participates in shift handoff reports.
