Description
Job Summary:
Ultrasonographer - Echo in Bangor, Maine. This position involves providing specialized support for adult echocardiography procedures within a Level II Trauma Center that is a certified stroke center. The role requires front-line clinical skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment, including rotating shifts, with weekend and call responsibilities.
Job Details:
- Location: 489 State Street, Bangor, ME 04401
- Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and registered in the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS). A minimum of 1 year of echocardiography experience. No licensure is required for Maine.
- Preferred Qualifications: Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International - Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CCI-RCS) is preferred.
- Support on the Unit: Echo supervisor and 6-9 additional sonographers within the department, with physician support from 7 cardiologists.
- Technology/Equipment: Electronic Medical Records system (Cerner), Phillips imaging equipment, with floating within the healthcare organization as needed.
- Orientation: One week of initial training and orientation.
- Additional Notes: Scrub color is teal. Free parking is available. Staffing involves weekend and night call rotations, with approval required for time off.
