Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered based in Johnson City, NY. This position involves delivering comprehensive respiratory therapy services, including patient evaluations and treatment management for inpatient and outpatient populations. The role requires ensuring timely, accurate, and reliable care in accordance with department standards and protocols.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Days shift with participation in every other weekend; 36 hours per week; 13-week assignment
• Required Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited school for respiratory therapy; New York State Respiratory Therapy Permit or License; Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) as a Respiratory Therapist; BLS (American Heart Association, HSI, or Red Cross) and ACLS Certification from American Heart Association; Up to three (3) years of experience in critical care or NICU settings; experience with V60 BiPAP/980 Puritan Bennett ventilators; ability to participate in external patient transports
• Preferred Qualifications: One (1) year experience as a Respiratory Therapist
• Additional Information: The Respiratory Therapist will perform a wide range of procedures including Aerosol Therapy, Oxygen Therapy, Mechanical Ventilation management, Pulmonary Function Screening, and Cardiopulmonary diagnostics. Responsibilities also include managing patient healthcare information systems, medication programs, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. The role involves coordination with medical staff for order verification, performing BLS and ACLS life support procedures, and maintaining departmental records.
