Description

Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) position located in Santa Rosa, California. This full-time role involves providing critical respiratory care to a diverse patient population, including pediatric and adult patients, in a regional trauma center. The position requires clinical expertise, swift critical thinking, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 08/10/2026
  • Required Qualifications: No minimum years of experience; valid California respiratory therapist license; certifications including ACLS, BLS, NRP, PALS, and RRT; experience with adult critical care, pediatric care, and working with Epic charting system
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in a community hospital setting, trauma level I or II experience, regional trauma center experience, and familiarity with respiratory therapy equipment such as Drager V800 Ventilators, Vapotherm, and ProVu
  • Additional Information: Facility supports interdisciplinary teamwork with access to physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, pharmacy, and other support staff. Travelers may be required to float within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals; willingness to work during major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year) is required. References covering at least one year are necessary during compliance. Travel compliance criteria include SSN, DOB, and RTO documentation.
