Description
Job Summary:
Occupational Therapist (OT) specializing in Home Health located in Springfield, Ohio. This role involves providing home-based therapy services to post-acute patients across various common service areas. The position offers an opportunity to work independently with flexible scheduling within a supportive healthcare environment.
Job Details:
- Shift: 8-hour days, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- Minimum Hours Per Week: 40 hours
- Required Qualifications: Valid license to practice as an Occupational Therapist in Ohio, at least 1 year of experience in occupational therapy and home health, current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Preferred Qualifications: Home care home base experience, experience with post-acute patient populations, ability to self-schedule visits and manage workflow independently
- Additional Information:
- Must have home health experience and home care home base experience; license must be in hand upon submission
- No clinical involvement, profiles go directly to the manager for interview
- Department handles approximately 8 patients per day with productivity expectations of at least 6.5 points per hour, usually 3-4 evaluations per day
- Common diagnoses include post-acute conditions; typical patient types include outpatient and skilled care
- Supervision of one certified occupational therapy assistant (COTA) will be required
- The clinician can create and move their own schedule and visit blocks
- No weekend or holiday work required
- Any color scrubs or business casual dress code applies
- Use of unspecified computerized system for charting; other system(s) may be in use
- The organization can wait for license clearance for submission
