Description

Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RTT) position in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This role involves providing respiratory therapy services and life support to patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies. The therapist will perform assessments, operate respiratory equipment, monitor patient responses, and collaborate with physicians to ensure optimal patient care in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Rotating shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Graduate of a CoARC (Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care) approved Respiratory program; at least 2 years of relevant experience; valid PA (Pennsylvania) state license; current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Registered Respiratory Therapist (RTT) credential; NRP may be required for certain facilities
  • Preferred Qualifications: Not specified
  • Float: Float rotation may be required
  • Additional Information: The role encompasses reading prescriptions, evaluating clinical data, setting up and operating various respiratory devices, monitoring patient responses, performing pulmonary function tests, and responding to emergency situations. Candidates should be prepared to assist in transporting mechanically ventilated patients and maintain detailed patient therapy charts. The position requires adherence to all system-wide competencies and behaviors.
