Description
Job Summary:
Occupational Therapist (OT) specializing in outpatient care is needed in Bryan, Texas. The position involves providing occupational therapy services within the acute inpatient and outpatient settings, with potential floating to nearby hospital campuses as needed. The role requires working closely with patients experiencing various medical conditions, including trauma, critical care, oncology, neuro, orthopedic, surgical, and general medical cases.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 10 hours per day, Monday through Friday, with alternating Saturdays, starting at 8:00 AM and a 30-minute lunch break.
- Required Qualifications: Valid Texas state license as an Occupational Therapist, Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, minimum of 2 years of experience. New graduates are acceptable if they have a strong adult acute clinical background including trauma and critical care.
- Preferred Qualifications: NICU experience is beneficial but not required.
- Float: First to float between Bryan and College Station hospital campuses as needed.
- Additional Information:
- The position may involve assisting with supervising Rehab Technicians and rarely supervising COTAs.
- Call outs are strongly discouraged and could lead to termination.
- Candidates must comply with department-specific orientation of up to 9 days depending on experience level.
- The hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts in a 13-week assignment, or 3 shifts in a shorter assignment.
- Certification to submit includes the license to practice as an occupational therapist in Texas.
