Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist (Registered) position in Jamestown, NY. This role involves providing respiratory therapy services and life support to patients with cardiopulmonary deficiencies under the general direction of a physician. The successful candidate will perform assessments, operate specialized equipment, monitor patient responses, and assist in various respiratory procedures across all patient populations.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Graduate of a CoARC (Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care) approved Respiratory program; New York and Maryland state licenses; Basic Life Support (BLS); Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT); NRP may be required for certain facilities; Minimum of 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified
• Additional Information: The respiratory therapist will evaluate medical orders, set up and operate devices such as mechanical ventilators, monitor patient physiological responses, perform pulmonary function tests, and respond to code situations. Experience with broncho-pulmonary drainage, breathing exercises, and equipment safety inspections is required. The position involves transporting mechanically ventilated patients and maintaining detailed patient charts.
