Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT) Peoria, Illinois. This position involves providing respiratory care for general medical, intermediate, and intensive care patients, including neonates, pediatrics, and adults. The role requires adherence to facility protocols and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of high-quality respiratory treatments.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours, from 06/17/2026 to 08/17/2026, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Active Illinois license or confirmation that application process has been initiated; certification in BLS (AHA), and NBRC Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a large (300 beds or more) critical care facility; experience in critical care settings preferred but not required.
• Department: Respiratory Therapy treatments per day will be assigned around 26-28 points based on AARC point system, with a focus on ventilator management, including Servo U, Trilogy, ResMed S9, and Fisher Paykel equipment.
• Supervision: A Respiratory Manager/Supervisor/Lead Therapist will be present on each shift as a resource; no floating required.
• Patient Population: General medical, intermediate, and intensive care patients, including neonates, pediatrics, and adults.
• Department Specific Orientation: The initial 12 hours include EPIC training, ventilator review, IPV, and specialty item review. Followed by two 12-hour shifts with a preceptor, then on own.
• Additional Information: There is no call or standby requirement; every other weekend and holiday shifts are required. Scrubs are not provided; any color scrubs accepted.
