Description
Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Radiology / Echocardiology/Cardiac Sonographer for a position focused on advanced cardiac imaging. This role involves performing complex echocardiographic procedures, including contrast studies, bubble tests, post-transcatheter aortic valve replacements (TAVRs), Mitra Clip assessments, and 3D imaging. The qualified candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality, efficient imaging services in a fast-paced environment, with a strong emphasis on accurate diagnostics and patient care.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 8-hour days with variable start times, ranging from 6:00 am to 8:30 am, Monday through Friday.
- Required Qualifications: Active Illinois license or confirmation that the license application has been initiated; BLS certification; RDCS or RCS certification; Minimum of 1 year of experience performing advanced echocardiographic procedures.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with contrast and bubble studies, strain imaging, advanced pathology assessments, and 3D imaging; proficiency with EPIC electronic medical record system.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: The candidate must demonstrate excellent scanning techniques with a deep knowledge of heart anatomy and pathology. Training is available for those interested in developing IV initiation skills, which are not mandatory. The department has a quick onboarding process, typically requiring only a few days working with a preceptor to become autonomous. The position is located in Peoria, Illinois, and begins on 08/17/2026.
