Description

Job Summary:
Vascular Sonographer in North Dakota. This position involves performing vascular ultrasound studies in an outpatient setting with a focus on vascular and non-echo imaging. The role includes managing a variety of complex studies, maintaining safety standards, and providing quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, starting on 08/03/2026.
  • Required Qualifications: Certifications include BLS and RDMS. Candidates must possess a minimum of 2 years of sonography experience, and be comfortable with vascular and non-echo studies.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with OB/GYN modalities and familiarity with cases involving ultrasound in the operating room is advantageous.
  • Clinical Responsibilities: Performing vascular, abdomen, breast, thyroid, soft tissue, and duplex studies including venous Doppler, carotid, phlebography, and ultrasound-guided biopsies.
  • Equipment: Philips Epiq 5, Epiq Elite, and a backup Mindray ultrasound system.
  • Additional Information: May need to assist with patient transfers and in rare cases, do ultrasound in the operating room. The team operates without a designated radiology supervisor for each shift; teleradiology support from radiologists is available 24 hours.
  • Shift and Scheduling: Variable second shift, some weeks with 10-hour days, some with 12-hour days, with occasional on-call duty (response time of 20 minutes). Flexibility exists for long weekends and worked during holidays if desired.
  • Other Conditions: No RTO beyond initial approval; scrubs are not provided; a one-week unit orientation is standard, with longer if needed.
