Description
Job Summary:
The Interventional Cardiology Cardiovascular Technologist position is based in a busy level 1 trauma academic medical center in Omaha, Nebraska. This role involves supporting a fast-paced cardiac catheterization laboratory with a focus on structural and percutaneous procedures. The technologist will assist with complex interventions such as PCI, high-risk PCI, CTO, TAVR, Mitral Clip, and other structural procedures, utilizing advanced equipment in a dynamic clinical environment.
Job Details:
- Location: Omaha, Nebraska
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 10-hour day shifts; call 2-3 weeknights and 1 full weekend per month
- Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist, with 3 years preferred
- Certifications: ACLS (American Heart Association), ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists), BLS (American Heart Association)
- Licensure: Nebraska radiology license
- Experience with both structural and percutaneous interventions such as PCI, CTO, TAVR, Mitral Clip, and structural heart procedures
- Procedures and Equipment:
- Scrubbing and manipulating fluoroscopy tables
- Assisting with and operating in procedures involving EPIC, Philips Azurion, Acist Manifold, IVUS (Philips, Boston), OCT, Balloon Pump, Impella, Penumbra, Philips XPER, Shockwave, Rotablade, and temporary pacemakers
- Orientation: 1.5 weeks of training including modules and hands-on experience in the lab
- Additional Information:
- Very busy, efficient lab aiming to create a more balanced team and workday
- Bed size: 7 labs in a 500-bed facility
- Nurse to patient ratio: Not applicable
- Dress code: Hospital-issued scrubs
- Float to other units/departments is not required
- No minimum experience requirement beyond the stated qualifications
- Charting system utilized: EPIC
- No BSN required
- Trauma Level: 1
- Care setting: Acute
