Job Summary
Interventional Radiology Specialist based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This role involves independently performing imaging procedures, demonstrating technical proficiency, and ensuring patient safety. The position features 4 to 10-hour daylight shifts with on-call duties including one weeknight and every 3-4 weekends.

Job Details

  • Schedule: 10-hour shifts during daytime hours, with start times either at 0600 or 0700. On-call from 5 p.m. to 7 a.m. once weekly, including every 3-4 weekends from Friday at 5 p.m. to Monday at 6 a.m.
  • Required Qualifications: Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or an accredited program in invasive cardiovascular technology. Two years of experience. Licenses and Certifications include ARRT Certificate or Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist, Basic Life Support (BLS), PA Act 31, PA Act 33, PA Act 34, and PA Act 73.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Not specified.
  • Additional Information: The candidate will demonstrate proper patient positioning, support general radiographic procedures as needed, and foster an environment of patient safety and aseptic technique. Responsibilities also include administering contrast, effective communication with patients, proper patient identification, documentation, coding, archiving, and performing other duties as assigned.
