Job Summary:
The MRI Technologist position is based in Kentucky. This role involves operating imaging equipment to produce high-quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans. The technologist will ensure patient safety, communicate effectively with patients and radiologists, and may train new team members. The position requires technical proficiency and the ability to work independently in a busy clinical environment.

Job Details:

• Location: Barbourville, KY, 40906
• Schedule: Rotating shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED; ARRT (MR) certification; BLS certification; technical proficiency with Siemens Espree or GE 1.5 16x MRI equipment; minimum of 0 years of experience (additional 1-2 years preferred); ability to work independently and in self-directed environments.
• Preferred Qualifications: 1-2 years MRI experience in high-volume environments; experience training team members; local travel flexibility.
• Additional Information:
  The MRI Technologist is responsible for patient safety, including pre-screening for contraindications and aseptic techniques. Duties include explaining procedures to patients, troubleshooting scanner and peripheral equipment, and providing quality diagnostic images. This position may involve training new technologists or patient coordinators and requires effective communication skills to coordinate with radiologists and staff.
