Description

Job Summary:
A Radiation Therapist position is available in Palo Alto, California. This role involves performing routine and specialized radiation treatments in accordance with treatment plans developed by physicians. The position requires working independently with sound judgment, maintaining patient safety and privacy, and collaborating effectively with healthcare teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate clinical proficiency, strong communication skills, and adherence to all applicable regulations.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shifts, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Certifications in ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) as a Radiation Therapist, Basic Life Support (BLS); 2 years of experience in radiation therapy; valid California State License uploaded via Nursys within the last 2 weeks; no weekends, call, or floating required; proficiency in ARIA, CT Simulation, Eclipse (Varian), Emergency Cases, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Radiation Safety, and Treatment Site Simulation.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Varian TrueBeam and Epic charting system; additional experience with interdisciplinary support and complex cases is advantageous.
  • Additional Information: The Radiation Therapist will work with adults across various patient diagnoses, utilizing specialized equipment. Ensuring compliance with all safety protocols and maintaining effective patient assessments and communication are essential responsibilities. Orientation hours and other staffing details will be coordinated per department needs.
