Description

Job Summary
Vascular Sonographer position in Reno, Nevada. This inpatient role involves performing advanced diagnostic ultrasound procedures focused on vascular systems, including peripheral venous, peripheral arterial, intracranial, and extracranial vascular assessments. The ultrasound Technologist will operate sophisticated imaging equipment, follow established protocols, and provide high-quality patient care, contributing to accurate diagnosis and treatment.

Job Details

  • Schedule: 8-hour shift, minimum of 40 hours per week, starting on 08/10/2026.
  • Required Qualifications: Valid registry certification with Cardiovascular Credentialing International (offering RVS) or American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (offering RVT, RDCS), CPR certification upon hire, a minimum of two years of clinical experience in vascular ultrasound, with experience in OBGYN, small parts, cardiovascular, and pediatric ultrasound highly preferred.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience in performing invasive examinations such as line placement, thrombin injection, and procedures involving contrast agents or agitated saline. Knowledge of accreditation standards from industry organizations such as ICAEL, ICAVL, SVU, and industry-specific protocols.
  • Additional Information: Responsible for operating diagnostic ultrasound equipment safely and effectively, reviewing images for quality and completeness, and ensuring compliance with institutional, Federal, State, and industry standards. May be required to float to other departments or nursing floors based on organizational needs and to participate in training of students and new staff. The position requires proficiency in ultrasound imaging systems and the ability to make technical decisions to optimize image quality.
