Description

Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist (RT) specializing in Pediatric and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU/PEDS) is needed in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. This role involves providing critical respiratory care to a diverse patient population, including post-surgical, pneumonia, COPD, and asthma cases, within a Level 1 Trauma Center and teaching hospital setting.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Nights shift from 18:30 to 07:00, with a minimum of 36 hours per week and a schedule cycle every 6 weeks
  • Required Qualifications: NC license, Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), BLS, ACLS, PALS, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); minimum 2 years of critical care respiratory therapy experience in high-acuity or trauma environments; valid drivers license and insurance
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with pediatric equipment such as Servo U, Servo Air, The Vest, Volara, Aerogen, Heated High Flow, and cough assist; pediatric experience with HFJV and HFOV highly desirable
  • Support within the Department: Lead Therapists on each shift, fostering a team-oriented environment
  • Technology/Equipment: Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EPIC) and department-specific respiratory equipment
  • Float: Based on travelers experience and unit needs, floating may be required, but typically assignment will be based on the travelers skill set and department needs
  • Orientation: 1-2 days with departmental staff
