Description

Job Summary:
Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist in Charleston, South Carolina. This role involves delivering patient care through the application of advanced cardiovascular procedures within the catheterization laboratory. The position requires collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes through assessment, treatment, and patient education.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, with call requirements to be discussed during the interview. Responsibilities may include floating to cover Cath/EP and possibly TEE/CVs procedures. Intra-procedure coverage for TEE/CVs may be required, focusing on documenting timeouts, procedure tracking, and room circulation.
  • Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited school of cardiovascular science or radiologic technology; meets education requirements for RCIS certification through CCI and the South Carolina Board of Medical Examiners; maintains active RCIS registration and certification; holds American Heart Association Basic Life Support and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certifications.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of contemporary nursing practice, health promotion, clinical technologies, resource stewardship, and interprofessional collaboration.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Additional Information: The role focuses on providing safe and effective cardiovascular patient care, including performing and documenting procedures, patient education, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
