Description

Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a highly qualified Ultrasonographer Echo for an assignment in Anchorage, Alaska. This position involves performing specialized echocardiography procedures in a Magnet-level healthcare facility with Level II Trauma designation. The role offers an engaging work environment with diverse patient care responsibilities, primarily focusing on adult and pediatric populations within acute care settings.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 10-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Certifications in BLS, ARDMS or CCI, with a minimum of 1 year of experience in ultrasonography echo procedures; candidates must have at least a 1-year minimum experience, valid state license or pending license (taking 10-12 weeks), and be at least 50 miles from the facility
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with adult acute care, outpatient, ICU, Emergency Department, pediatric outpatient, and pediatric acute care; proficiency with charting systems (Epic); experience with advanced echocardiogram procedures such as Bubble Study, Color Doppler, Pharmacologic Stress Echo, TEE, and related equipment and procedures
  • On-Call and RTO: On-call required approximately 1 day/week with a response time within 30 minutes; approved time off is handled on an individual basis, with all RTO requests included at the time of submission
  • Holidays: Traveler must be willing to work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year)
  • Additional Unit Information: The role involves primarily ER and inpatient coverage, with the possibility of floating within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals. The position emphasizes pediatric experience and procedural expertise in echocardiography
  • Submission Requirements: Submittal must include SSN, DOB, and RTO details; two references covering the past 1 year are required; specific certifications (including Epic charting experience) must be provided; travel compliance documentation, such as SSN and DOB, must be included at submission
