Description

Job Summary
Radiation Therapist position in Lubbock, Texas. This role involves providing radiation therapy services in a pediatric and adult treatment environment at a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center. The position offers an opportunity to work with advanced treatment modalities, including brachytherapy, stereotactic radiosurgery, and external beam radiation therapy, within a collaborative team setting.

Job Details

  • Shift: Days, 8 hours per day
  • Schedule: Monday-Thursday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Fridays 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: Certification as an Radiation Therapist (ARRT R), BLS certification, Texas State License in hand or in process, at least 0 years of experience, valid compact license, and ability to work in the specified location within 50 miles of Lubbock, Texas.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in Community Hospital or LTAC settings, familiarity with complex treatment modalities such as IMRT, Gamma Knife radiosurgery, and the Elekta Mosaiq Record and Verify System with Epic electronic medical record.
  • Additional Information: The role involves rotating across multiple treatment modalities, including brachytherapy, EBRT, SBRT, SRS, and FSRT, with support from a dedicated interdisciplinary team. Candidate must be flexible to work some holidays as required. Interdisciplinary support and specialized equipment such as Elekta Linear Accelerators, Gamma Knife, and GE Discovery CT/Simulator are used. Candidates may be expected to float between nearby facilities and must adhere to the facilitys policies regarding background checks and employment eligibility.
