Radiation Therapist in Lodi, California This position involves administering ionizing irradiation to patients in accordance with prescriptions and instructions from department physicians. The role requires delivering precise radiation therapy treatments while maintaining safety protocols and patient communication.
Job Details
- Shift: Days shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in radiological technology or equivalent, certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy (AART-T), Certification of Therapeutic Radiology Technology (RTT), Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor, Radiation Therapist license from the California Department of Public Health
- Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree, experience in radiologic technology, Fluoroscopy Permit from the state of practice, ARRT-Radiation Therapy (ARRT-T) certification, experience with Elekta Linear Accelerators (Versa HD), highly preferred
- Essential Functions: Administers prescribed radiation therapy, explains procedures to patients, maintains safety protocols, prepares treatment rooms and equipment, observes patients for reactions and complications, maintains treatment records and patient charts, provides clinical supervision and evaluates students' practical skills, performs other related duties as assigned
