Job Summary:
Physical Therapist Inpatient in Redding, California. This position involves working within a hospital setting to provide inpatient rehabilitation services, primarily focusing on stroke, cardiac, orthopedic, neuro, and med surg patients. The role offers a structured schedule with four 10-hour daytime shifts weekly, with every third weekend required. Candidates must have a minimum of two years of experience in inpatient therapy and at least one year of hospital-based acute care experience.
Job Details:
- Location: Redding, California
- Schedule: 10-hour days, four days per week, with an every-third-weekend schedule, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Current BLS certification, California licensure, a minimum of 2 years of experience in physical therapy, at least 1 year of acute hospital experience, COVID vaccination
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience in stroke rehabilitation, inpatient therapy, and working with diverse patient populations including cardiac, neuro, and musculoskeletal cases
- Floats: No floating required
- Orientation: 8 hours of floor-specific orientation for all modalities
- Clinical Settings & Patient Types: Providers will treat patients with stroke (facility is stroke certified), cardiac, orthopedic, ICU, neuro, and med surg cases. There is a neonatal ICU, but travelers are not required to work or have experience in NICU or pediatrics.
- Certifications & Licenses: BLS certification, California licensure applicable for practice
- Additional Information: Candidates will be working in a hospital environment with 24/7 physician support, including hospitalists and intensivists. The charting system used is Cerner. The staff includes PTs, with a team leader present when the manager is unavailable.
