Polysomnographer in Carlsbad, New Mexico. This travel opportunity involves working in a sleep laboratory setting with a focus on collecting and analyzing patient sleep data. The role requires providing patient-specific care, conducting various sleep studies, and ensuring accurate data documentation and reporting. The position is suitable for experienced professionals seeking a short-term assignment to contribute to patient diagnostics and treatment.
Job Details:
- Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM 7:30 AM, Tuesday through Thursday
- Schedule: 36 hours per week
- Certifications and Education Requirements: RPSGT (Registered Polysomnographic Technologist) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications required; New Mexico license required
- Experience: 2+ years of relevant polysomnography experience required; 0 years minimum experience for consideration
- Position type: Travel, 13-week assignment
- Responsibilities include collecting, analyzing, and integrating patient data for sleep studies, calibrating sleep lab equipment, applying electrodes and sensors, conducting tests such as MSLT, MWT, and oxygen titration, and scoring sleep stages and clinical events following professional guidelines
- No call or floating required for this role
- Additional clinical duties include implementing therapeutic interventions like PAP and oxygen therapy and documenting occurrences during procedures
