Job Summary:
The Mammography Technologist is responsible for performing mammography examinations following American College of Radiology (ACR) requirements. This role involves assisting with breast ultrasound, stereotactic biopsy, breast localization, and other radiologic guided procedures performed within the Breast Center. The position requires performing diagnostic and screening mammographic examinations on adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients in an expedient and professional manner.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Day shift, training will be 7AM-3:30PM, 9AM-5PM; 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent, graduate of an AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology, minimum 2 years of hands-on experience as a Licensed Mammography Technologist, ARRT certification, mammography certification within the first three months of employment, active Diagnostic Radiography License, and breast imaging competencies including screening and diagnostic mammography, breast positioning, ultrasound assistance, stereotactic breast biopsy, tomosynthesis (3D mammography), needle localization, breast MRI coordination, and Dexa scanning (sometimes)
• Preferred Qualifications: N/A
• Float: Float rotation may be required
• Additional Information: The role includes preparing cases for imaging, assisting with quality control procedures, assisting in patient education and BSE instruction, documenting procedures, and modifying care based on patient needs such as age, culture, language, and impairments. Candidates must adhere to organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
