Description
Job Summary:
Occupational Therapist Inpatient (OT IP) position in Ohio. This role involves evaluating and treating both short-term and long-term patients in a skilled nursing facility setting. The occupational therapist will work within a multidisciplinary team, developing individualized treatment plans to enhance residents' independence in activities of daily living, functional mobility, cognition, and upper extremity function. The role requires collaboration, documentation, and treatment implementation to promote safe discharges and improve quality of life.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Rotating shifts, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certification in occupational therapy, Ohio state license, and at least 0 years of experience in inpatient settings
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with short-term and long-term patient care in skilled nursing facilities; familiarity with developing individualized treatment plans based on physician orders
- Additional Information: The candidate will evaluate and treat patients under supervision and assistive oversight of Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs). Timely documentation and treatment execution are essential. The role involves developing individualized plans to improve residents' independence, cognition, and mobility, and working closely with an interdisciplinary team to ensure positive outcomes.
