Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) in Cheyenne, Wyoming. This inpatient role involves working in a hospital setting providing care for pediatric patients, including neonates and adults, across ICU and other inpatient units. The position offers opportunities to assist with critical procedures such as intubation and bronchoscopy, and requires flexibility to navigate different floors as patient needs fluctuate.

Job Details:

Location: Cheyenne, Wyoming
Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
Start Date: 08/10/2026
Required Qualifications: Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); minimum 2 years of experience
Preferred Qualifications: None specified
Float: Assistance may be needed throughout the hospital
Additional Information: The department manages approximately 13 patients during first rounds, with a variable patient census. The respiratory team will use specialized equipment including Puritan Bennett 980 ventilators, Phillips CPAP and BiPAP machines, DreamStations, V60s, EV300s, and Optiflow high flow system. Responsibilities include drawing arterial blood gases with EPOC, performing EKGs, assisting with intubations, and supporting bronchoscopy procedures. Effective communication of critical labs and strict hand hygiene are emphasized. Staff will wear royal blue scrubs with the hospital logo.
Reporting and Certification: Reporting critical labs in a timely manner. Charting is done via EPIC. No BSN required.
