Job Details

  • Location: Springfield, MO (1235 E Cherokee St, Springfield, MO 65804)
  • Position: Respiratory Therapist (Registered) specializing in Pediatric Respiratory Therapy (RT PEDS)
  • Shift: Nights, 3x12 (1830-0700)
  • Schedule: Nights, 36 hours per week
  • Start Date: 08/24/2026
  • Openings: 1
  • Experience: 2 years of pediatric/neonatal respiratory care experience required; minimum of 2 years preferred
  • Required Licensure and Certifications:
    • Current license in the state of practice
    • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
    • Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association (AHA)
    • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
    • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Education: Graduate from an accredited college program in respiratory care
  • Additional Requirements: Neonatal and pediatric intensive care experience required; flexible to float as per facility needs
  • Unit Information: Approximately 62 beds across Pediatric, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU); equipment includes Draeger VN500, Hamilton G-5, Oscillator, Jet Ventilator
  • Clinical Skills: Assisting physicians with diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, assessing patient needs, implementing respiratory care interventions, and patient education
  • Responsibilities: Ensuring patient safety and infection control policies, effective communication, collaboration with healthcare team, equipment management, and documentation accuracy
