Job Summary:
The Ultrasonographer General is responsible for performing a variety of specialized diagnostic ultrasound procedures utilizing high-frequency sound waves to assist medical professionals in detecting anatomical abnormalities. The role involves preparing patients, operating ultrasound equipment, capturing high-quality images, and maintaining accurate documentation to support accurate diagnosis and patient care.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Rotating shifts, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Graduate of an approved ultrasound school; two years of training in Allied Health or college; ARDMS registered in Breast (BR) specialty or equivalent breast ultrasound credential; BLS certified; at least 2 years of clinical ultrasound experience; knowledge of ultrasound equipment operation, cross-sectional anatomy, safety protocols, and EMR/Epic documentation.
• Preferred Qualifications: Additional years of clinical ultrasound experience; specific expertise in breast ultrasound imaging and scanning techniques, image optimization, image-guided biopsy assistance, and familiarity with BI-RADS ultrasound descriptors.
• Responsibilities include performing diagnostic ultrasound exams, maintaining equipment, ensuring patient comfort, evaluating image quality, and adhering to safety standards. The candidate will also support patient education and collaborate within an interdisciplinary team.
• The position requires standing a minimum of 6 hours daily, lifting at least 25 lbs., pushing and pulling a minimum of 50 lbs., and working in a fast-paced environment with on-call duties as needed.
