Description
Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist specializing in Pediatric (RT PEDS) located in Bismarck, North Dakota. This position involves working across all areas of the facility, including NICU, ICU, surgical, medical, and cardiac units, providing care to neonatal to geriatric patients. The role requires the ability to work independently, make clinical judgments, and collaborate closely with physicians to deliver high-quality respiratory care.
Job Details:
- Shift Schedule: Rotating shifts from 0600-1830 and 1800-0630, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Certifications Required: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), Certified Respiratory Technician (CRT), and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) verification.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of respiratory therapy experience.
- Qualifications: Valid license to submit, neonatal to geriatric patient care experience, and proficiency with RT equipment such as Airvo, PB 840 Vent, PB 980 Vent, Hamilton C1, MR1, and V-60 Respironics.
- Additional Notes: The unit features a respectful environment where Respiratory Therapists are valued. Successful candidates should be able to work independently, make clinical judgments, and work closely with physicians.
- Orientation: 3 or more shifts of unit-specific onboarding, each lasting 12 hours.
- Shift Notes: Flexibility to work days, evenings, or nights, with first to float and extra shifts as needed.
- RTO Policy: RTO requests must be submitted upfront for seven or fewer days within a 13-week period; no additional RTO will be approved.
- Additional Requirements: Candidates may not be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any organization associated with the same healthcare provider group, including affiliated facilities within 50 miles.
- Start Date: 08/10/2026.
