Job Details

• Shift: Nights, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certification as a Respiratory Therapist (RT), valid state license, 1+ year of experience in respiratory care, location in or willingness to work in YORK, Pennsylvania
• Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric respiratory experience, certification in neonatal or pediatric respiratory specialties
• Additional Information: The respiratory therapist will evaluate patients, perform procedures such as airway management, chest physiotherapy, suctioning, arterial puncture, and assist with complex procedures like bronchoscopy and chest tube placement. The role requires proficiency in pulmonary function testing, EKG interpretation, and ventilatory equipment troubleshooting. CPR certification per BLS and ACLS guidelines is required. The position involves documenting treatments, monitoring patient responses, and collaborating closely with physicians to optimize therapy.
