Job Summary:
The organization is seeking a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist for a 13-week contract position in Austin, Texas. The role primarily involves supporting interventional procedures within a hospital's cardiac catheterization lab, utilizing advanced equipment, and working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Job Details:
- Position: Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist
- Location: Austin, Texas
- Start Date: 08/24/2026
- Schedule: Days shift, 10 hours per shift, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certifications in BLS and ACLS, 1 year of experience in a catheterization laboratory setting, able to conduct interventional assistance (RCIS, RCES, or RT license), and educational qualifications relevant to the role.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with IR or electrophysiology (EP) procedures.
- Additional Information: The role involves assisting with complex procedures such as LHC/RHC, Cardiomems, Shockwave, Penumbra, IABP pump, Impella, PFO Closure, EKOS, among others. Candidates must be calm under pressure, flexible, and comply with hospital-issued scrubs dress code. The unit operates with a team of seven staff members, including registered nurses, techs, and a charge nurse coordinator, with a patient ratio of 1:1. Variable call shifts including weekends may be required.
