Description
Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) Tucson, AZ. This position involves providing independently respiratory care, pulmonary and cardiology diagnostic testing to pediatric patients across various healthcare settings within the organization. The role requires collaboration with medical staff to ensure optimal care delivery and patient outcomes.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Day shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Associate or technical degree; proof of passing the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT); current license as required by state law; Blood Gas Technologist certification (in Nevada); Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; knowledge of clinical techniques, applications, and equipment with at least one year of clinical experience; valid drivers license if applicable.
- Preferred Qualifications: Additional related education and/or experience are considered a plus.
- Additional Information: The incumbent will perform all basic modalities of respiratory care as prescribed by physicians, manage mechanical ventilators, assemble and troubleshoot medical equipment, and conduct pulmonary and cardiology diagnostic testing. Responsibilities include patient assessments, responding to changing clinical conditions, and documenting all care provided. May supervise staff and work across various care areas as assigned.
