Description

Job Summary:
A Mammographer position is available in a healthcare facility located in Salinas, California. This role involves performing mammograms and bone density procedures, assisting radiologists with needle localizations, stereotactic biopsies, and galactograms, all in accordance with radiation practice standards and departmental policies. The position requires working under supervision in a clinical environment, ensuring quality and safety standards are maintained.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications: - Completion of a two-year radiologic technology training program approved by the American Medical Association (AMA). - Current California Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license (R) or (M) and American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R) registration. - BLS/Healthcare Provider status as per American Heart Association standards. - Minimum of six (6) to twelve (12) months of recent experience with Epic systems. - Valid certifications include GALACTOGRAM, MAMMOGRAPHY, STEREOTACTIC BIOPSY, NEEDLE LOCALIZATION, and BONE DENSITY. - All qualifications must be met to be considered for this role.
  • Preferred Qualifications: - One (1) year of experience as a licensed mammography technologist.
  • Additional Information: - The technologist will perform mammograms, assist with quality assurance activities for mammography and bone density, and help manage patient scheduling and documentation. - Regular attendance at department meetings and in-services is expected. - The role involves close collaboration with the Lead Mammography Technologist to meet MQSA standards. - Emergency medical assistance skills may be required as needed.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
