Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) in Gulfport, Mississippi. This role involves providing specialized respiratory care to pediatric patients within the healthcare facility. The position requires delivering high-quality patient treatments, operating ventilatory equipment, and collaborating with physicians to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

• Shift Hours: Nights, with a schedule of 12 hours per shift and a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in respiratory therapy, valid state license, and one or more years of relevant experience
• Responsibilities include evaluating patients, administering treatments with ventilatory and oxygen devices, conducting pulmonary function studies, assisting with procedures such as bronchoscopy and chest tube placement, performing arterial punctures, and monitoring patient responses.
• Performs basic arrhythmia recognition, EKG, chest x-ray review, and airway management including intubation and tracheostomy care.
• Follows all policies related to laboratory testing, specimen handling, and equipment maintenance.
• Performs cardiopulmonary resuscitation in accordance with BLS and ACLS guidelines.
• Operates and maintains mechanical ventilation equipment, records treatment data accurately, and communicates effectively during shift handoffs.
• Performs other clinical duties as assigned to support patient care.
