Job Summary
Nuclear Medicine Technologist in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This role involves independently performing imaging procedures utilizing complex imaging equipment to produce diagnostic images. The technologist applies their expertise, judgment, and technical skills to ensure accurate results while demonstrating exceptional patient interaction and adherence to departmental protocols.
Job Details
- Schedule: 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week, rotating shifts, every other weekend.
- Required Qualifications: Graduate of an ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) approved school of Radiologic Technology or verification of completion from an ARRT approved program with a scheduled graduation date. Technologists hired before graduation will work under indirect supervision until degree verification. Candidates must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience. Valid ARRT Certificate, Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification (NMTC), and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. State licensure is required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Level 2 Trauma, portables, general radiology, fluoroscopy, operating C-arm, and outpatient imaging center procedures.
- Additional Information: This assignment requires ARRT certification, BLS certification, and clearance for Act 31 (Child Abuse Reporting), Act 33, Act 34, and Act 73. The position duration is 90 days. The role involves performing imaging procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision, demonstrating competence with complex imaging equipment, and ensuring quality documentation and patient safety protocols are followed.
